RWS Investigations, Ltd. was incorporated in 1997 and is licensed by the
Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. It's founder, Robert Stachnik, has demonstrated his professional competency
by successfully passing both the Private Detective and the Security Contractor examinations administered by the
Department of Professional Regulation. RWS Investigations, Ltd. has never been the defendant in civil litigation nor has it
ever been the subject of a Department of Professional Regulation investigation or discipline. Mr. Stachnik enjoyed a twenty-nine
year career with the Schaumburg, Illinois Police Department, retiring as a lieutenant in charge of the department's elite
Special Investigations Bureau. During the course of his law enforcement career Bob investigated, and supervised the investigation
of thousands of crimes ranging from theft, burglary, robbery, and homicide. Mr. Stachnik was awarded numerous awards
during the course of his law enforcement career including: the "Director's Award" (Federal Bureau of Investigation),
Medal of Honor (Cook County Sheriff), & the Cook County State's Attorney's Award for Investigative Excellence. In addition
to his duties at RWS, Bob serves as an adjunct faculty member for Northwestern University and the North East Multi Regional
Training facility (NEMRT). He teaches police investigators and investigative supervisors from the Chicago metropolitan
area and throughout the United States advanced investigative techniques for these two institutions.
